Minnesota Court Dismisses Target’s Insurance Claim for Data Breach

A Minnesota federal court just dismissed Target's insurance claim against two Chubb companies for a data breach that compromised its customers' credit cards. The court ruled: "Target has not established a connection between the damages incurred for settling claims related to replacing the payment cards and the value of the use of those cards, either to the payment-card holders or issuers."
