Government Acknowledges Russian Origin of SolarWinds Attack

The FBI, NSA, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) have issued a joint statement that finally officially recognizes that the SolarWinds attack came from an Advanced Persistent Threat and was "likely Russian in origin." President Trump has not yet acknowledged Russia’s role in the incident, but President-elect Biden has signaled that he will get tougher on Russian and other foreign cyberattacks.
